Re: Layout tips/help
It looks pretty cute. Maybe just make the text darker?

Re: Layout tips/help
I agree with Nikana. Making the wordings a bit darker will be better. And maybe you could some shades of blue (or maybe just shadows) to the clouds..?

Re: Layout tips/help
The text looks a bit out of place, maybe change the font? Or maybe, like the others said, make it darker, I'm not so sure. Also, I think you should add some more shading. But otherwise it's amazing.

Thanks guys
. I'll definitely improve the text (I was a little lazy there I'll admit xP). Keep the comments coming!

Also, I suggest you get a cuter font to match the layout.
It will look much better that way.

I would just suggest smoothing the edges around the header and website name, looks a little choppy.

I think the text needs smoothing on the edges. You could also try adding borders to the text to make it more stand-out

Re: Layout tips/help
Hm, I suggest maybe lowering the saturation of the colours so the colours aren't so blinding.
Something like this, perhaps: http://i28.tinypic.com/of98ck.png
The blue text on the hot-pink background is sort of "in-your-face", if you know what I mean, so changing the text colours from blue to maybe the brown-ish colour of the air balloon would soften it.
I think giving the mountains some shading would help reflect the fact that the sun is going down/up. Same with the clouds and air balloon.
I still don't think the font is suitable. For instance, the italic doesn't seem right.
A few cute fonts might be
Teaspoon. Though it is commonly used, I still think it's considered cute.
Victor Vector might also work.
There is a whole list of rather cute fonts here: http://hushstar.net/rebecca/you/fonts.php (even bitmap fonts!)
What are you going to name this theme, Mia?
